1. What We Store

Essential (always on): thepermittest_state — your selected state, so pages and tests load correctly; thepermittest.progress.v1 (localStorage) — your study progress, kept on your device; thepermittest.consent.v1 (localStorage) — your consent choice itself.

Analytics (opt-in only): anonymized product analytics (e.g., PostHog) load only after you choose “Accept all” in the consent banner.

2. What We Don't Do

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or sell data derived from cookies.

3. Managing Preferences

You can clear the consent choice in your browser's site-data settings to see the banner again, or clear all site data to remove every cookie and stored value. Deleting study data is also available in one click from the Dashboard.
